Property Petanque in Berkeley Square

On 25th July Cobalt Recruitment held the Summer Property Petanque event in Berkeley Square. Fourteen teams, with three players to each team, took to the gravel paths in the square to battle it out for the illustrious prize of being crowned the best in property Petanque. The British weather didn’t put on its best summer display, none the less it did not deter the determined competitors. Four rounds of Petanque were played in total, in elimination style the winners of each round progressing though to the next round. The semi finals were made up of teams from PRUPIM, Deutche Post Bank, Warner and Black Brick. Spirited efforts were made by all teams involved, a good eye, sturdy arm and a good measure of luck were needed to clinch a win in the heated competition. PRUPIM and Deutche Post Bank went thought to the final, and after 20 intense minutes the PRUPIM team won the tournament with a 6-4 victory. The play off for 3rd and 4th place was just as competitive with Black Brick defeating Warner to take 3rd and 4th place respectively. It was great to see the competitive property industry spirit on display in the fitting Mayfair setting, and we look forward to the 2008 Summer Property Petanque Event… let’s hope the summer turns up next year too!
