A very successful civil contractor with an excellent reputation country wide is currently looking for a Design Manager to join the business in a leadership capacity.
This role requires someone with the ability to lead and drive designers to achieve the successful design of innovative, award winning structural projects.
You ideally would have experience in both a contracting and consultancy environment with a detailed understanding of the stakeholder interaction and process that is required for the successful design and build of self performing, joint venture and alliance projects.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the design components of projects as well as serving as the bridge between the business and clients.
Other requirements:
-A tertiary Qualification - B.E (civil) or NZCE
-Significant Structural Engineering experience
-A demonstrable ability to develop and foster long term client relationships
-Ability to write construction methodology and understand constructability
-A strong technical and programming background
-Ability to lead and work as part of a team
