The New Zealand arm of one of the world's leading construction & property consultancies is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their busy Auckland team.
As arguably the leading PQS firm in Auckland this business has seen it's project workload spike upwards dramatically with new project mandates across a range of asset classes, including retail, commercial, residential and hotel developments.
The position will require involvement in all facets of post contract cost management from the preparation of estimates through to final sign-off, with a heavy client facing emphasis. The ability to work autonomously is a prerequisite as is the drive and determination to develop and progress within the business.
There are very encouraging signs that the property sector is heading towards a state of sustained buoyancy so it's imperative that your own professional ambitions are in line with the businesses ambitions for growth.
Ideally you will have 3-5yrs post qualified experience within a construction consultancy or PQS firm.
In addition, you should be computer conversant, articulate, detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills and feel comfortable juggling multiple balls at the same time. The ability to think laterally, developed construction knowledge, an intuitive nature and a distinct pride in your work are all coveted traits.
