Fund Manager, Real Estate Fund of Funds
Location: Dublin
Overview: Management of existing indirect funds, fund managers, underwriting new investments and supporting the Senior Manager in the implementation of the property investment strategy.
The fund is currently invested in over thirty public and private property funds on a global basis. These closed and open ended funds are split between core, value-add and opportunistic vehicles.
Role This is a senior position and the successful candidate will have a full and active role in the management of the portfolio.
As part of a small team, assist in the management of an existing and growing portfolio of global real estate investments through active monitoring, portfolio analysis and attendance at manager meetings.
Assist in sourcing and filtering potential investments and undertaking detailed due diligence on new investment opportunities. Develop and maintain professional relationships and contacts within the investments industry.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of investment recommendation papers, annual fund control reports and other internal reports and presentations. Communicate analysis of investment opportunities to the Head of Fund Management, other senior investment staff, internal Investment Committee via verbal and written reports and presentations.
Coordinate management information relating to the property portfolio including performance measurement, capital calls, and review of quarterly and annual reports. Liaise with internal financial control, compliance and legal departments, co-investors, industry organisations, tax advisers and specialist property consultants.
The candidate should possess the following:
– Experience in property investment and asset management – indirect fund management experience is preferable
– Institutional experience and knowledge of property investment vehicles.
– An ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
– Strong commercial awareness and understanding.
– An analytical mind with the capability to sift through large amounts of detail and identify critical issues.
– A team player with a strong ability to communicate, both orally and in written form, in a concise and clear manner.
– Exemplary corporate governance and ethics.
– Third level education including post graduate professional qualifications, ideally in a finance or property related discipline.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
