Senior Design Project Manager - Electrical (MEPS)

Location: Manhattan, NY

Compensation: $125,000-$150,000 Base Salary + Benefits

Our client is an Industry-leading Engineering Firm specializing in the design of MEPS Systems on large-scale construction projects nationwide. The company is headquartered in Manhattan, NY and has a strong pipeline of work throughout the nation.

The role:

  • Ensure client expectations are met and/or exceeded during meetings and when sending updates on design phases.

  • Identifying clarifications/changes in design, scheduling, ensuring organization, oversee planning and the project throughout each phase of development.

  • Supervise design development, production of working drawings, and construction admin on projects.

  • Ensure that deadlines are met by maintaining an outline of the Project Team's workload and commitments.

  • Ensure work is allocated evenly throughout the team to ensure an efficient/successful outcome.

  • Act as Senior Designer.

  • Generate and oversee the budget, project team, and schedules to ensure top quality product.

  • Manage a small team of 1-2 people.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years as an Electrical Engineer focusing on MEPS.

  • 5+ years of Electrical Design.

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience.

  • Expert at interpreting drawing and explaining the construction processes.

  • Experience in a Managerial or Lead position.

  • Knowledge of Construction Finance, Project Budgets, and Proposals.

  • Proven ability to schedule with strong Time-Management.

  • Capacity to deftly oversee multiple concurrent projects.

  • Extremely client facing - You will be the face of presenting plans and solutions to Clients and other Executives

  • Proven track record of excellence in meeting project deliverables.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Degree in Engineering - Concentration in Electrical Engineering preferred.

  • Commutable throughout to Manhattan, NY regularly.
