Fire Safety Programme Manager

A new opportunity has become available for a Fire Safety Programme Manager at a well-established Housing association based in London.

Job Role

Your role will be to carry out fire risk assessments and to identify and assess risks to the housing stock, translating this into a schedule of work for the contractors.

  • You will be responsible for creating, implementing and delivering a programme of Fire Safety Improvement works.
  • Monitor the fire risk officers and administrative tasks to effectively deliver the programme within Fire Safety, Capital Delivery and Maintenance.
  • Have a strong understanding of data and the importance of data accuracy when managing a fire safety remedial programme.
  • Carry out fire risk assessments on the housing stock of high rise flats and domestic dwellings and prioritisation of high risk areas.
  • Be available to assist with out of hour's emergencies/major incidents and undertake some evening and weekend work, when required.
  • Analyse high volumes of building data, utilising this information to create a building project for each specific works.
  • Liaise with residents, Local Fire Brigades and external consultants.
  • Document and monitor all works within the programme liaising with Head of Health and Safety for audit and improvement of shared services.




Candidate Requirements

  • Experience at a senior administrative or project management level in a large Housing Association.
  • Experience with working with large volumes of data, particularly in Excel.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Property Services or Asset Management environment.
  • Experience of major change projects.
  • An understanding of the social housing environment, including regulation and emerging government policy.
  • You must have excellent communication and organisational skills with Fire Safety knowledge.
  • NEBOSH qualification would be preferable.
