My client is currently seeking an experienced Utilities Assistant to primarily provide support to the Utilities Manager in the Commercial Property Management Department, as well as the Property Administrators as and when workload requires.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing of all electrical, gas and water invoices for the properties in conjunction with the accounts department
  • Dealing with any queries from the Property Managers regarding utilities
  • Fielding telephone calls from the utility suppliers
  • Act as liaison between the Property Managers, the utility supplier and the tenant contact
  • Update Horizon Property Management system with the current utility meter details when required
  • Obtain meter readings to update the system via the Property Managers, letting agents or letting department
  • Advise the utility company when a property has been sold and ask for a closing account
  • Assist, when necessary, the Property Managers, when the utility supplies need to be moved into a different name
  • Assist when necessary, when the Landlords 5 yearly electrical tests are due

The ideal candidate:

  • A strong work ethic
  • Previous experience within a high volume routine in an administrative environment; experience within the Commercial property sector is preferable
  • Reliable and committed
  • Works well as part of a team, as well as independently with little supervision
  • An ability to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
