The Company

Our Client is a top-tier Asia-based global investment management firm currently making inroads into the American markets.  They invest across different asset classes including venture capital, public securities, real-estate and private equity. They are particularly focused on financial services, media, technology and the healthcare sectors and take an agnostic view to stage of investment and take a multifarious approach to investment opportunities and a highly-nimble firm.


The Position

A newly-created senior legal position has been created to advise the Firm on investment strategies in the North American markets. The role will be responsible for advising the Firm on US laws and regulations pertaining to M&A and takeover matters. The position will be based in the Bay. 

The Person

The ideal candidate will have about 15 or more years of relevant legal experience from a top-tier law firm and be fully familiar with relevant U.S Laws and Regulations as pertaining to activist shareholder activities.

You’ll have a track record in advising businesses, investors and shareholders on Board and Company management matters and also be familiar be open market purchase matters, block trade matters, proxy contests, shareholder lawsuits.


Essentially, the role will be to advise the Firm on all takeover (hostile/friendly) and acquisition matters for their investments on the N.American continent. You’ll have strong commercial input on all acquisition and investment decisions made by the firm.
