Fire Remedial Works Project Manager

A new opportunity has become available for a Fire Remedial Works Project Manager at a well-established Housing association based in London.

Job Role

Your will be responsible for all fire related risks and issues and to oversee the necessary remedial actions, translating this into a schedule of work for the contractors.

  • Provide fire safety surveying expertise, management, support and advice.
  • To ensure fire safety inspections are managed and maintained with the Regulatory Reform and other appropriate health and safety legislations.
  • Manage specialist consultants and clerk of works in order to ensure compliance with fire safety legislations.
  • Have a strong understanding of data and the importance of data accuracy when managing a fire safety remedial programme.
  • Be available to assist with out of hour's emergencies/major incidents and undertake some evening and weekend work, when required.
  • Liaise with residents, Local Fire Brigades and external consultants.
  • Document and monitor all works whilst liaising with Head of Health and Safety for audit and improvement of shared services.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience at a senior administrative or project management level in a large Housing Association.
  • Knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Order.
  • Experience with working with large volumes of data, particularly in Excel.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Property Services or Asset Management environment.
  • Experience of major change projects.
  • An understanding of the social housing environment, including regulation and emerging government policy.
  • You must have excellent communication and organisational skills with Fire Safety knowledge.
  • NEBOSH qualification would be preferable.
