With an exceptionally strong Corporate Real Estate Team, my client now requires a capable surveyor to manage a key telecoms portfolio, working out of its office in Birmingham City Centre. The appointed Surveyor will deliver estate management services, collaborating with other skill lines across the business as required.

Key duties will include:

  • Ensure cost effective operational running of allocated sites
  • Undertake telecoms lease renewals, rent reviews and acquisitions as required.
  • Deliver strategic advice primarily focused on clients telecoms portfolios
  • Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the client's premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant
  • Identify and drive through cost savings for this client
  • For sublet properties, monitor income collection and tenant liaison
  • Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated
  • Ensure adherence to lease terms and compliance with statutory requirements and advising clients of same
  • Direct and frequent client contact and reporting

Given the spread of the portfolio, my client is willing to be flexible on office location and will also consider candidates interested in exploring fixed term contracts. Its is important that candidates applying for this role can demonstrate up to date knowledge of the telecoms market with particular reference to legislation regarding property management and telecoms activity. Strong IT skills as essential as are experience with the use of industry specific packages (e.g. TRAMPS/PM&A)
