Town Planner / Senior Town Planner

A continuously growing workload for our client in Kent means this company is seeking a Town Planner to further strengthen the planning team.

You will be joining an established consultancy working with a variety of clients that include house builders, land owners, commercial businesses and Local Authorities. The planning team is already firmly established within the region and has an excellent reputation across Kent for delivering high-quality planning advice and achieving approval for a wide range of applications including many in the housing sector.

Typical duties of the Town Planner include:

  • Preparing and progressing applications through the planning system
  • Liaising with Planning Officers pre, during and post-application
  • Preparing Design & Access Statements, Planning Statements and other relevant documentation
  • Provide ad hoc town planning advice
  • Undertaking site assessments

The ideal Town Planner will have relevant planning experience, preferably including previous private sector experience although those within the public sector are actively encouraged to apply. The Town Planner will need to be a strong communicator who is able to liaise with colleagues, clients and Local Authorities throughout the planning process. APC support will be provided, if required, and our client has a proud history of working with their team members to continue their professional development.
