Our client is an established planning and development consultancy with multiple offices across the UK and a reputation for delivering high-quality advice and projects to clients. You will become a key member of their London office contributing to a variety of projects across multiple sectors including residential, retail and commercial.
An excellent year so far has laid the foundation for future team growth in the new year and the Town Planner will assist in the completion and submission of planning applications, drafting of Planning Statements, delivery of advice to clients and undertake site visits. Typically the Planner will be working with clients that include major retailers, house builders, investors, local authorities and government organisations ensuring the workload is both challenging and diverse.
The ideal Town Planner will hold both relevant undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and will have gained experience of working within the private sector. Ideally, you will be working towards APC submission and individuals who are already chartered are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience of development control will be beneficial as will exposure to the residential, retail and commercial sectors. Personal qualities are key for this opportunity and the Town Planner will be a confident communicator who is able to liaise with clients, colleagues and local authorities throughout the planning process.
The Town Planner will be provided with substantial support throughout the APC process and ample opportunities for future progression within the consultancy. The salary and benefits package will be competitive and dependent upon experience.
