Hear from some of our previous trainees:
"Having lived abroad before, the Cobalt Academy scheme offered a unique opportunity for my first career after graduating. What I found most refreshing was that it wasn’t an empty promise, from the completion of the 8 weeks rotation I was in regular contact with the Director of the New Zealand offices. We spoke about the market and the logistics of making the move so I was fully prepared for when I got out here. Cobalt handled all aspects of my visa application which made life a lot easier. Upon arriving, the team was very welcoming and have played a huge part in my settling into New Zealand. Now I work as a full consultant and the New Zealand market has been very good to me! It is a fantastic part of the world to be in, New Zealand is an absolutely stunning country, with a lot of adventures to be had. Definitely a worthwhile career and lifestyle move, I am already applying for residency!"
Robyn Pettitt – Summer Intake 2014
“Cobalt provides an opportunity for those new to the work, recruitment and the real estate environment to be part of a training program for 2 months. This allows for you to understand the nature of work and learn many valuable skills during this time. Having great colleagues, an amazing office location and work environment, makes it a great academy to be a part of”
Teddy Murphy - Spring Intake 2015
“The support offered by Cobalt, and the friendly atmosphere of the office have helped me settle into working life quickly. I never really considered a career in recruitment until very recently, but my experiences over the course of the Cobalt Academy have meant I haven’t regretted that choice for a second. There aren’t many companies where you are handed such trust and responsibility so quickly, but Cobalt are not afraid to back you.”
Dan Byrne – Spring Intake 2015
“The Cobalt Academy has acted as a brilliant first step into the world of work. If you think you have the skills for a career in recruitment, Cobalt offers fantastic training and support no matter what your graduate background is. Rotations around the company means you have the opportunity to learn from successful consultants and really get stuck in from the outset. It’s a really well-respected company and an enjoyable environment to be a part of.”
Katie Robinson - Autumn Intake 2014
“I joined Cobalt as part of the 2nd Cobalt academy and found it gave me excellent exposure to the different areas of the business, which helped me to quickly find my home within the company. Cobalt’s training and development programme enabled us to quickly find our feet, whilst members of the team were always on hand to offer support, advice and guidance when we needed it. A fun bunch of people both inside and outside the office, we were made to feel welcome from the start.”
Chris Sycamore – Autumn Intake 2014
“Starting at Cobalt was daunting at first, but I soon grew to love working here. Everyone in the company is incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to lend a hand if you need it. Getting used to a market I hadn’t worked in before was a fantastic challenge and has given me skills I would have struggled to pick up from anywhere else. One of the best things about working here is that you can really see how much you have developed over time and get to see real results quicker than I might have working elsewhere. I’d definitely recommend the graduate scheme to anyone looking for a career that rewards hard work, dedication and initiative.”
