Cobalt Recruitment's Research & Forecasting team places GIS Analysts into a number of property and investment companies predominantly based in London and the South East.
A GIS Analyst uses Geographic Information systems (GIS) to solve problems, present data and store information. This involves analysing various demographical impacts and conducting spatial analysis to impact decision making for either specific investments, developments or for the wider business. GIS can also often be combined as part of another research role.
Transferable skills for geospacial analyst jobs
Our clients are often looking for someone who may have completed an Undergraduate Degree in Geography or a similar subject. This often builds the skillset needed to analyse and interpret data and gives an awareness of factors, which can impact a location. These skills are highly transferable to the Real Estate industry.
For companies, a GIS function is an invaluable tool, which can be used to further the viability of a project through the provision of hard data, which can also be used for decision making when comparing various options.
If you are doing GIS as part of your current role, we would be particularly interested in speaking with you. We are able to give you access to key decision makers and HR advisors across the Real Estate industry. Contact the Property Research & Economics team on 0207 478 2500 to discuss geospacial analyst jobs or register with your CV.
