Chartered Town Planner jobs

At Cobalt Recruitment, we place Chartered Town Planners into public and private sector roles for clients that include leading planning consultancies, developers, house builders and Local Authorities.

We’re always looking for professionals that have a proven track record in developing and managing projects across the Residential, Commercial and Retail sectors. If you have a strong knowledge of the planning sector, as well as previous experience of preparing, submitting and monitoring planning applications, we want to hear from you.

Our clients are keen to speak with Chartered Town Planners as the sector continues its positive growth. We are working with clients looking to add to successful and long-standing teams, as well as businesses establishing new planning teams in their offices nationwide.

As City Hall weighs up a 35% affordable housing target for certain developments and the planning sector gets to grips with new planning reforms from the Housing and Planning Act 2016, we are witnessing an exciting increase in the number of opportunities available for Planners of all levels. Whilst you get to grips with “planning freedoms” you can rely on us to ensure you are aware of the most suitable and exciting opportunities for you are brought to your attention.

Your next Chartered Town Planning role

At present, we are particularly interested in individuals that are Chartered members of the RTPI, or those working towards APC submission, who have previous consultancy experience and a strong knowledge of the planning sector.

Our clients tend to look for professionals with strong communication skills, as you will be required to liaise with colleagues and clients alike, throughout the planning process. In addition, the ability to manage your time efficiently is essential as you will be contributing to an array of developments that can vary in sector, size and location. Whether you are interested in progressing your career with a consultancy or taking on the challenge of moving client-side we will have the right opportunity and client for you.

Career progression and development as a Chartered Town Planner

Our Town Planning Team has over 10 years of experience resourcing planners for the private and public sectors. We utilise our contacts, experience and resources to support your career development and source your next role.
