Cobalt Recruitment Appoints Adam Mills as Managing Director, United States
Cobalt Recruitment has appointed Adam Mills as Managing Director of its United States business, headquartered in New York.
Adam has been leading the US operation since January 2026, following the departure of Nick Louca. We are grateful to Nick for the role he played in developing Cobalt's foothold in the US market, and we wish him well in what comes next.
The transition has been a smooth one. Q1 2026 was a record quarter for Cobalt US — a result that reflects the quality of the team Adam has built around him and his approach to leading the business from day one.
Adam brings over a decade of experience placing Finance, Accounting and Real Estate professionals across three continents. He spent seven years at Robert Walters, progressing from Recruitment Consultant to Manager across Sydney and New York, before joining Harrington Starr as General Manager of the New York office. He joined Cobalt in February 2024 as Director, building out the Finance, Accounting and Real Estate practice in the US, and has been central to the business's growth in that market since.
What distinguishes Adam is not just his sector depth — Finance and Accounting within real estate and construction is a genuinely specialised niche — but the international perspective he brings to it. Having recruited across the UK, Australia and the United States, he understands how Real Estate investors, Developers, Finance and Construction firms think about talent differently in each market, and that context informs how he advises both clients and candidates.
