NYC Metro Area | Full-Time | $125,000 to $160,000 + Project Performance Bonus
About the Opportunity
A licensed Master Plumber, Oil Burner Installer, and General Contractor serving New York City is hiring a Construction Superintendent to run the field on its active mechanical installation projects, including central boiler plant replacements, heating system upgrades, and plumbing work ranging from $2M to $20M. You'll take full ownership of active job sites from mobilization through close-out, directing crews and subcontractors and running daily site operations with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership seat with long-term growth and project bonuses, working on some of the city's most complex MEP projects.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site authority on active MEP installation projects, directing in-house foremen, crews, and subcontractors through execution
- Own daily job site reporting, including construction daily reports and safety reports, keeping the project management team fully informed
- Maintain and update project tasks, man-days, and schedule status daily, and flag deviations to the PM immediately
- Prepare and submit 2-week look-aheads and lead the weekly Site Super / PM schedule meeting
- Coordinate labor, materials, subcontractors, and deliveries in the critical path with the PM team
- Establish and enforce site quality control standards through close-out and punch list completion
- Enforce safety programs, PPE compliance, and hazard analyses; manage OSHA logs and incident reporting
- Manage prevailing wage sign-in sheets and related compliance documentation
- Communicate RFIs, submittals, and drawing conflicts to the PM team, and estimate and document change orders
- Attend site meetings with architects, engineers, customers, and city agencies as required
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading commercial MEP construction projects
- Strong background in commercial boilers, hydronic and steam heating systems, plumbing, or mechanical construction
- Experience supervising field crews and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and MEP plans
- OSHA 30 certification and NYC SST card (40-hour) required
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between NYC-area job sites
- Comfortable with daily field reporting and documentation, and proficient with project management and communication software
Preferred
- Experience with cogeneration (CHP) systems, chillers, or general HVAC
- Prior experience on prevailing wage, NYCHA, or affordable housing compliance projects
- Familiarity with Procore, Asana, MS Project, or similar scheduling platforms
- Familiarity with field service platforms such as BuildOps or ServiceTitan
