Mechanical Plumbing Engineer

Location: Mount Holly, NJ
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000

Looking for a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer to join our MEP team. You'll be involved in designing and coordinating plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, fire protection, and specialty piping for a variety of projects in commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional settings.

Responsibilities

* Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, natural gas, and specialty piping
* Run system and hydraulic calculations such as pipe sizing, pressure loss, flow rates, and equipment selection
* Make sure designs meet code requirements and sustainability standards like LEED or WELL
* Put together construction documents including drawings, specifications, and schedules
* Coordinate with architects, HVAC, electrical, and structural teams
* Support proposals, reports, and engineering studies
* Visit project sites for surveys, inspections, and field reviews
* Review submittals and shop drawings during construction
* Help mentor junior engineers and designers

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 5+ years of plumbing system design experience
* EIT required; PE license preferred
* Skilled with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* Solid knowledge of plumbing codes and standards such as NSPC, IPC, UPC, IBC, NFPA, and ASHRAE
* Background in commercial, institutional, or industrial projects
* Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Fire protection experience is a plus, but not required
