Senior Accountant

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Quarterly Financial Reporting on both a GAAP and IFRS basis (consolidated), including making all appropriate journal entries. Ensure accurate reporting and reconcile GL accounts.
• Responsible for annual audits for assigned joint venture partners (including preparation of footnotes and supporting schedules).
• Review and/or preparation of valuations of student housing properties.
• Prepare capital call and distribution calculations and notices.
• Cash management of assigned entities.
• Oversight of management fee and incentive fee calculations.
• Prepare and/or review waterfalls and promote calculations.
• Work with the external accounting firm for all Tax and audit-related schedules.
• Oversight of monthly property-level financial reporting for properties within assigned investment entities and assist property accountants with entries for acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing's.
• Address accounting-related questions and requests from partners as they arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance (required), CPA/Big 4 experience is a plus.
• 3+ years' experience with accounting/financial reporting for investment companies/entities.
• Familiarity with org charts and the ability to read and decipher LLC agreements and loan agreements.
