Senior MEP Site Superintendent
NYC Metro Area | Full-Time | $120,000 to $160,000 + Project Performance Bonus
About the Opportunity
A leading NYC mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Site Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and multifamily mechanical projects throughout the NYC metro area.
Projects include central boiler plant replacements, heating system upgrades, plumbing installations, controls integration, and energy infrastructure work ranging from $2M to $20M. You'll take full ownership of active job sites, overseeing field crews, subcontractors, safety, quality, scheduling, and daily execution from mobilization through closeout.
This is a hands-on leadership role with long-term growth, project bonuses, and the opportunity to work on some of New York's most complex MEP projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead all field operations on active MEP construction projects.
- Direct foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, high-quality project execution.
- Manage project schedules, manpower, site logistics, and 2-week look-ahead planning.
- Coordinate deliveries, inspections, material procurement, and trade sequencing.
- Maintain daily construction reports, safety documentation, and project updates.
- Identify field issues, RFIs, and change order opportunities while working closely with Project Managers.
- Enforce OSHA, NYC SST, and prevailing wage compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading commercial MEP construction projects.
- Strong background in commercial boilers, hydronic systems, steam, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical construction.
- Experience supervising field crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and MEP plans.
- OSHA 30 and NYC SST (40-Hour) required.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between NYC job sites.
- NYCHA, public works, or prevailing wage experience is a plus.
