National General Contractor seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of a ground-up self-storage / industrial project in Roxbury, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial construction experience, a proven ability to lead field operations, and a track record managing complex projects from mobilization through completion.

The Superintendent will serve as the primary leader on-site, responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall on-site leadership and management of construction activities.
• Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project goals are met.
• Manage daily site operations, scheduling, logistics, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and consultants.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Procore, Outbuild, or MS Project.
• Monitor progress, resolve field issues, and identify potential risks before they impact schedule or budget.
• Assist with project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.
• Experience managing ground-up construction projects, preferably self-storage, industrial, warehouse, or similar commercial facilities.
• Active Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) required.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Proficiency with Procore and construction scheduling tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors, maintain accountability, and drive project completion.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing projects in the $5M-$25M+ range.
• Background with self-storage facilities, industrial buildings, or large-scale commercial developments.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and tight schedules.
