Accounts Receivable Specialist

A prestigious and very successful Long Island Real Estate firm is seeking an ambitious Accounts Receivable Coordinator. Profitable company with commercial buildings and shopping centers nationally. The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will handle their designated portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong ability to communicate with diverse groups of Tenants, Mall Office staff, and colleagues verbally and in writing.
  • Resolve Tenants' inquiries related to the application of payments.
  • Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data via cash receipts, ACH, Lockbox Payment, and ClickPay online portal payments while resolving any discrepancies
  • Ability to match Tenant's payments to corresponding rent statements.
  • Application of Non-Tenant receipts to the correct code description within the General Ledger
  • Research and reconciliation of Tenant accounts with open balances and prepayments
  • Work with management departments on Lease Abstract, Tenant Relations, Renewals, Tenant Percentage Rent Calculations, Tenant Recoverable billing, and possible Co-Tenancies to identify and monitor any problems with Tenant accounts.
  • Oversee of miscellaneous bill backs
  • Ability to reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for, and property posted.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 Years of Experience in Accounts Receivable or Bookkeeping Required
  • An Excellent understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, ClickPay, and MRI Real Estate software is preferred.
  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate accounting is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic & higher mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work as a team player and promote a cooperative work atmosphere

The fair market assumption for this role is $55,000-$75,000 per annual

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
