A crucial Accounts Receivable Specialist role has opened with a growing construction company in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure payments are received, vendors are adequately invoiced, and Lien Releases are processed. The ideal candidate already has experience in the construction industry, is comfortable being on-site daily, and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities:

·Maintain a real-time summary using the consolidated release summary for all open jobs.

·Use monthly consolidated release summary for the collection of all jobs.

·Keep the Accounting Supervisor apprised of the status of the lien release collection.

·Ensure release collection is complete before the billing submission due date.

·Apply all payments received payments to company accounts.

·Work with Accounts Payable to ensure all Joint payments are properly coded within the GL.

·Audit job release files when the project has been 100% completed and billed.

·Update the Preliminary Log for the Project Manager and binder.

·Maintain Preliminary Log with Subs/Supplier Inquiry, Date email/fax to the supplier, actual date received original preliminary, contact person, contact phone, and contract amount.

·Collect every month Union Letters from Union Subcontractors

·Run Expired Insurance reports from Sage Timberline every week.

Requirements

·2-5 years of AR Experience within the construction industry

·Bachelor's degree is desired but not required.

·Experience with California contractor's lien release law requirements

·Knowledge of Sage 300 (Timberline) or Procore is preferred.

·Excellent time management and communication skills

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $50,000 and $65,000 annually.

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range when posting. It is part of the total rewards package this client provides employees.
