Our client is a leading national Construction Management firm across several industries, from Healthcare to commercial and Multifamily Projects. They are unique among commercial contractors as they assign one team to a project from start to finish. They are seeking talented Assistant Project Managers to assist with new and ongoing Healthcare projects in Buffalo, New York.

Job Overview

The Role: Assistant Project Manager

Healthcare and Commercial Interior Construction

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the success of the project performance.
  • Keep the job going and ahead of schedule. Does not allow activities related to administration/procurement to hinder the job progress.
  • Produce and properly evaluate the project "Monthly Status Report" including the Gain/Loss, Cost, and Schedule evaluations as well as potential problem identification.
  • Coordinate with project manager in scheduling and planning
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare change orders, RFIS, and submittals
  • Assist the Superintendent with the enforcement of job site safety (OSHA Field Package, MSDS).
  • Communicate and coordinate, in conjunction with Superintendent, with manpower, sequencing, schedule compliance, etc.

The Person:

  • 0-3 experience in construction
  • Ability to multitask
  • Demonstrate competency in scheduling, procurement, budget/cost control, financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to communicate, both written and oral, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
