Construction Assistant Project Manager - Wood Frame/Concrete Multifamily

Leading Regional Real Estate Developer specializing in luxury multifamily properties is looking to add to its in-house Construction team.

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in overseeing the construction of high-end residential communities to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents in planning and scheduling of construction operations
  • Preparation of change orders along with review of contract drawings
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while leading meetings, delivering reports, submittals, maintaining sub list, subcontracts, schedules, change orders, insurance, material procurement, logistics, closeouts, etc.
  • Reviews and requests modifications to construction drawings when construction conflicts arise.
  • Evaluates project schedules and determine appropriate modifications and resources to ensure timely completion
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure work complies with local, state, and federal building code requirements and company standards.
  • Participates in trade partner recruiting and vetting.
  • Assembling monthly report along with taking meeting minutes
  • Commutable to multiple job sites

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction preferred
  • 0-2 years of multifamily construction experience
  • Ability to manage construction processes in a high production environment
  • Ability to direct and manage trade performance
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • General knowledge of building codes, municipal permitting, and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of construction related software: Procore, MS Project, Excel
