Assistant Project Manager

Hoboken, NJ

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to oversee high-end interior renovation projects. This position will work across the residential and hotel portfolio. You will be responsible for supervising construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in construction methodologies and capable of coordinating different disciplines to achieve the best results.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion
  • Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and schematics
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and adherence to safety standards
  • Collaborate with clients to address any concerns or issues that arise during the construction process
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits
  • Utilize project management software such as ProCore to track project milestones and communicate updates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a construction project manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Solid understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation
  • Experience with construction estimating and contract negotiation
  • Proficient in using software such as Bluebeam for document management
