Construction Controller

A well-established construction company in New Jersey is looking for a Controller to work on-site in Essex County. The Controller will report directly to the CFO and will support the department in various aspects. There will be 1-2 direct reports.

Requirements:

· Prior experience working in the construction industry (preferably utilities)

· Knowledge of Work in Progress (WIP) Schedule - able to review, interpret, and analyze schedules

· Experience working with Timberline software

· Ability to work independently

· Degree in Accounting

What you will be doing:

· Closing the books

· Preparing financial statements on a monthly basis

· Overseeing AP, AR, and Payroll

· Financial analyses of operations

· Reviewing WIP schedules and liaising with project managers

Additional info:

· On-site 5 days/week

· Base salary between $140k - $160k

· 401k contributions

The fair market assumption for this role is between $140,000 - $160,000 annually.
