Director of Operations - Construction

The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing Mission Critical Construction, specializing in the installation and deployment of Electrical, Telecommunications, Life Safety and Security solutions.

Provide best in class Electrical Construction services to Industrial and Advanced Technology Facilities including:

Video Surveillance systems, Fire alarm systems, Wireless and cellular services

Responsibilities:

§ Establish long and short-range business development, growth, revenue, and sales goals and objectives for all lines of business

§ Build and maintain an excellent team, establishing clear communication of expectations and objectives for individual employee achievements

§ Participate in sales activities and maintain an active role in negotiations with suppliers and partners

§ Engage and collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Finance to ensure timelines and budgets are met

§ Direct a staff of up to 10, managing multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

Education/Experience:

§ Bachelor's degree

§ 10+ years of Construction Project Management experience

Candidates must have significant experience in these key areas:

§ Extensive electrical, telecom and building controls installation experience

§ Project scheduling, financial reporting, development of KPIs

§ Effective presentation/communication skills with a proven ability to interface with clients, and build relationships

§ Capable of playing a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence

§ Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and lead a team of managers and individuals across organizational lines

§ Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions

§ Deep construction and cabling knowledge for Data Centers, Manufacturing plants, Industrial factories, and Telecommunications projects

§ Ability to oversee multiple jobs and lead field operations, including PM's, Supers, etc.
