Title: Construction Estimator (Plumbing)

Location: Valley Stream, NY

The Role:

• Prepare take-off & pricing for construction opportunities, by reviewing, interpreting, and accurately estimating scope of work as outlined in project documents.

• Navigate thorough analysis of drawings and specifications by researching selected products from the cost and construction perspective.

• Attend Pre-bid meetings where value engineering options and costs, as well as estimating productions and scheduling are provided and presented.

• Prepare bid packages.

• Perform detailed project cost estimate using company estimating software.

• Work collaboratively with owner and Project Managers to ensure flawless project delivery.

The Person:

• Must have Plumbing experience.

• At least 3+ years of Plumbing estimating experience.

• Commercial experience is a plus.

• Highly proficient in industry specific software, such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff & Excel.

• Demonstrated success in managing or potential to manage preconstruction process for projects.

• Demonstrated competency in the areas: estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to communicate, both written and oral, and organizational skills.
