Field Construction Manager, HVAC

Fast-growing full service mechanical contracting company providing oil to gas conversions, combined heat and power systems (CHP), boiler installations, building re-pipes, heating controls, boiler monitoring, energy supply, energy efficiency retrofits to residential and commercial buildings are seeking a Construction Superintendent whose top priorities are to manage installation and repair projects from inception to completion.

Duties Include:

• Oversee installation crews and subcontractors to ensure project quality, efficiency and completion

• Execute installations according to construction documents (drawings, specs, manuals)

• Attend site meetings with Architects, Customers, Engineers and City Agencies

• Consult with design engineers and subcontractors to assist in planning and organizing

• Establish and maintain excellent client relationships

• Train customers on equipment operation upon completion of project

• Periodically attend job walkthroughs to assist with estimating

• Estimate change orders for active projects

• Assist in purchasing and procurement

Required Experience

• 5-years of experience in commercial boilers and possess in-depth knowledge of the following: Steam heating systems, hydronic heating systems, pumps, fuel code, plumbing and electrical.

• Must be detail oriented, team player and have good follow-up skills.

• Must have effective written/oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

• Preferred but not required: Experience with Cogeneration (CHP), Chillers and General HVAC
