Field Superintendent ~ Commercial & Retail Interiors

A National General Contractor and construction leader across many industries from banking to healthcare to manufacturing, is seeking a talented Superintendent to oversee new and existing construction. This Superintendent must be well-versed in trades including carpentry millwork, flooring, ceiling and MEPs. From full buildouts and renovations to large scale projects, serving clients throughout New Jersey and New York State,

The Role:

• Prepares the project schedule and provides updates regularly, maintains reports accurately describing project status

• Responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects

• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis

• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely

• Directs subcontractor activities within commercial fit-outs for interior projects

• Maintain and verify LEED requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

• Construction jobsite experience

• 5 years supervisory experience

• Experience with email and ability to learn company-specific programs and software

• Construction background required

Compensation:

• $100,000 - $120,000 + Benefits
