Title: Finance Manager - Construction Compliance

Compensation:

Our client is a well-established, profitable Contractor in NYC that specializes in drywall work for large-scale commercial and residential projects throughout NYC. They are currently looking to bring on an experienced Finance/Accounting Manager with specific construction accounting and Compliance experience to their team.

The role:

The Finance Manager will oversee the firm's day-to-day accounting functions and will work closely with the Controller and CFO on relevant financial operations. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate and manage risk, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
  • Oversee Accounting operations such as; analyzing financial data, forecasting revenue, monitoring expenditures, and coordinating auditing processes.
  • HR related experience is needed. I.E.: Payroll processing and coordination of employee benefit package
  • Assist in formulating sound financial strategies while implementing proper internal protocols
  • Manage and train staff on business finance issues and driving income generation
  • Assist the Accounting team with any complications including Accounts Payable/Receivable, overseeing all income statements,

The person

ONLY candidates that can display the following experience and qualities will be considered:

  • 3+ years of specific construction accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong proficiency in industry-related software, Compliance and GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with all levels of the organization
  • A home location that allows for a daily commute to a Queens, NY office
  • First class references, attention to detail and a can do, proactive mentality that is willing to take initiative to help the company grow more efficiently.
