Qualifications:
Multifamily construction experience is a must
Experience with interiors, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
Possess a solid knowledge of plans, specifications, Request for Information, submittals and all other project-related documents
Ability to problem solve, generate, and maintain tracking lists
Competent with project management software and computer proficient (Microsoft Excel)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person
Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary
Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
10-15 years' experience working on commercial construction projects
High school diploma or equivalent
Guiding principles of creativity and innovation
Happaugue and Garden City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Do you have minimum OSHA 30 certification?
Responsibilities:
Oversee ground up multi-story wood frame projects, including supervising of the day-to-day work.
Prepare the project plan, sequence, and schedule with the collaboration of field personnel.
Preparing and issuing project documents including progress reports, detailed project schedule updates, and financial/budget updates.
Communicating appropriately with the proper parties and keep them fully informed of progress and any significant technical problems/solutions and their effect on design, schedule and/or costs.
Develop logistics and expedite the permitting and approvals process as necessary
