Qualifications:

  • Multifamily construction experience is a must

  • Experience with interiors, mechanical, electrical and plumbing

  • Possess a solid knowledge of plans, specifications, Request for Information, submittals and all other project-related documents

  • Ability to problem solve, generate, and maintain tracking lists

  • Competent with project management software and computer proficient (Microsoft Excel)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

  • 10-15 years' experience working on commercial construction projects

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Guiding principles of creativity and innovation

  • Happaugue and Garden City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • Do you have minimum OSHA 30 certification?

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ground up multi-story wood frame projects, including supervising of the day-to-day work.

  • Prepare the project plan, sequence, and schedule with the collaboration of field personnel.

  • Preparing and issuing project documents including progress reports, detailed project schedule updates, and financial/budget updates.

  • Communicating appropriately with the proper parties and keep them fully informed of progress and any significant technical problems/solutions and their effect on design, schedule and/or costs.

  • Develop logistics and expedite the permitting and approvals process as necessary
