An award-winning commercial general contractor providing services throughout the New York City metropolitan area is seeking an MEP/HVAC Estimator with experience as Construction Manager at-Risk on large-scale public works projects. This individual will be analyzing all project documents to determine the overall estimated cost for the selected trades of a project.
Responsibilities include: gathering, calculating and compiling data to produce construction cost estimates for budgets and competitive bid proposals in a timely manner and conducting a thorough and detailed turnover of awarded projects to the project management team.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years in estimating for commercial public sector construction. Experience putting together bid packings for NYCHA, SCA, DASNY and/or GSA projects highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Mechanical, Plumbing & HVAC systems.
- Experience with estimation software, such as On Screen Takeoff and HCSS is helpful, but not required.
