Cobalt is contracted to hire a project accountant for a general contractor here in Midtown. This position allows you to work for a large firm with national brand recognition. As well offers you the ability to join a growing team.
Responsibilities:
Create invoicing for multiple entities with similar services.
Monitor the status of existing projects in the accounting system.
Effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders, and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional service related to billing.
Compile, analyze, & process a high volume of project bills to clients monthly.
Work closely with project managers to ensure that invoices are accurate and comply with corporate guidelines.
Review weekly field timesheets to ensure they have been submitted and approved before invoicing.
Coordinate with subcontractors to receive certified payroll reports.
Maintained project billing folder and accounting system (SAGE300 & PROCORE) to ensure all invoices and other project-related documents were readily accessible for project managers & accounting department.
Prepare various monthly billing & supporting reports.
Monitor accounts & take appropriate actions with customers to arrange payment, issue monthly statements & billing items as per proposals.
Reviews and ensures the accuracy of vendor invoices before billing clients.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelors' degree in Accounting/Finance or a similar field.
1-3 years of billing experience in Construction contracting related industries
AIA experience preferred
NYC and NYS Agency billing preferred
Sage 300 & PROCROE experience preferred
The Fair market Assumption for this role's total compensation is up to $90,000 annualy
The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
