Title: Property Manager

Location: Bergen County, NJ

Compensation: Competitive Base + Benefits

Our client is a strong Owner/Builder/Operator of Luxury Class A Residential properties throughout New Jersey, currently looking to add an experienced Property Manager to one of its luxury developments in Bergen County, NJ.

The person:

  • Only candidates that can display the following experience and qualities will be considered:
  • 3+ years' experience in leasing/property management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, well organized and excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in Property Management software i.e. Yardi, and in-depth knowledge of all rules, regulations and laws regarding property management
  • Valid NJ real estate salesperson license
  • Present professionally, and maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Work over-time hours as required to complete assignments/projects
  • First class references, strong leadership and communication skills and a can do, team focused proactive mentality

The role:

  • Responsible for directing the day to day operations of the housing development and ensuring that it is meeting the financial objectives of ownership and management. Specific tasks include:
  • Ensure efficiency of staff through ongoing training and instruction
  • Plan weekly/daily office staff schedules and assignments
  • Provide support to staff to encourage teamwork and lead as an example in creating a harmonious environment
  • Consistently possess intimate knowledge of market and competitor properties, to ensure that the complex is positioned favorably, as well as ensuring its curb appeal.
  • Promulgate apartment availability, pricing, and concession information among staff
  • Coordinate promotional events as needed with site staff
  • Review all advertising and press releases for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Keep daily accurate records of customer traffic and leases via Yardi software
  • Interpret financial goals and operate asset in owners' best interest
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and income projections
  • Generate necessary legal action, documents and process in accordance with State and Company guidelines
  • Attend scheduled owners' meetings, staff meetings and resident meetings as required.
