Our client is a leading national General Contractor across several industries, from Healthcare to commercial and retail. They are unique among commercial contractors as they assign one team to a project from start to finish. They are seeking a talented Safety Coordinator to assist with new and ongoing Healthcare projects in Ocean County, NJ.

Job Overview

Role: Safety Coordinator

Healthcare and Commercial Interior Construction

  • Oversight and management of project teams delivering healthcare and commercial construction projects, integrating all disciplines as the primary point of contact. This role is based in Toms River NJ.

The person:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year's experience as a Project Safety Representative (PSR)
  • Experience with trade work, such as craftsman
  • Minimum of OSHA 30-hour and Competent Person Classes
  • Understanding of OSHA law Skills Required to be a Level One Safety Coordinator

  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings
  • Assist the superintendent team with the development and review of subcontractor JSAs
  • Help the project team with safety investigations and documentation of recordable accidents
  • Assist the project team with the investigation of safety records of all subcontractors on site
