We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator in the greater Philadelphia area. Successful candidate will provide support to various projects, reviewing bid opportunities, project coordination, interfacing with all levels of project representatives, and oversight of project accounting on commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Estimator

  • Prepare detailed (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction) estimates, including general conditions, special conditions, insurance and bonds.
  • Prepare and analyze cost models during the Design Development and/or bidding period.
  • Ensure accurate and complete estimates that reflect the actual requirements of the project by evaluating an adequate number of RFPs.
  • Prepare bid packages and analyze bids from subcontractors and material vendors.
  • Evaluate and review risk factors with senior management (contract bond authorization, insurance review)
  • Assemble pre-construction materials for presentations (Design Development estimates, GMP booklets).
  • Provide a preliminary construction schedule for each estimate.
  • Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects.
  • Provide monthly cost analysis for all active pre-construction assignments and manage department budgets.

Requirements

  • (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) in a construction related curriculum or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree.
  • 5-10 years estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, in a similar facility construction
  • Familiarity with pre-construction management.
  • Demonstrated competency in client relationship, ability to communicate, both written and oral
  • Computer Skills: Primavera, Excel, Word, On-Screen Takeoff, Revit, and more.
