Senior Construction Project Manager - Affordable Housing - Manhattan, NY

$140,000-$180,000 Base Salary + Benefits

Our client is a well-established General Contractor specializing in Affordable Housing Multi-family projects in Manhattan, NY. They are looking to add a talented Project Manager to the Construction team.

The role:

  • Oversee Multi-Family Construction projects, including financial, legal and liability, schedules, risk examination and special issues.

  • Initiate meetings with owners and subcontractors to get a better understanding of project status and complications.

  • Manage all projects from concept to completion overseeing project team to ensure they be held to a high standard.

  • Forecast and track the amount of labor, managerial and material costs necessary to complete a project.

  • Identify progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved time-lines. Reports status and variances.

  • Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.

  • Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders.

  • Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.

  • Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

  • Assist in any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager focusing on Affordable Housing projects.

  • Ability to read and understand all types of construction drawings.

  • Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction software.

  • Proven ability to run projects on time and on/under budget.

  • Capacity to deftly oversee multiple concurrent projects.

  • Proven track record of excellence in meeting project deliverable.

  • Experienced with Procore.

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or Construction Management preferred.

  • Commutable throughout the 5 boroughs of New York and to parts of New Jersey if needed.
