Our client is a construction contractor specializing in Public Works projects on Long Island and New York City. Currently looking to add a seasoned Senior Project Manager to their team. To be considered for the role, please see below:
Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of construction projects in conformance with owner/engineer plans and specifications.
Manage all needs of the subcontractors, ensuring they are meeting critical contractual requirements
Set up billings and internal/external reports, updating the status of the project as it progresses
Prepare and submit shop drawings
Communicate with the project team (contractor, owner/owner''s representatives, including engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure construction progresses on time and under budget.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including the hiring new staff and coordinating with the engineers, architects, and vendors.
Support and comply with all site safety and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of construction experience in Public Works, Civil/Heavy Civil, and/or Mechanical projects
Exposure working in the field. Prior experience as a Superintendent is preferred
Excellent written and communication skills
Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
