A new and exciting opportunity for a Development Finance Manager has become available at one of London's leading real estate businesses with an active, diverse portfolio of high-quality assets. The client is seeking a Development Finance Manager to assist with development reporting to shareholders, utilise financial modelling to inform strategic decision-making, and contribute to the analysis and mitigation of risk working closely with various heads of development

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for producing financial analysis and commentary on management reports, specifically reporting to the Board, various committees, and joint venture partners.
  • You will also drive improvement by collaborating with the Development Analyst in reviewing development appraisals to pinpoint key indicators of high performance and consistency of approach.
  • Produce detailed scenario analyses to assist the understanding of risks and performance at a corporate and cash flow level.
  • Act as the key liaison regarding finance matters on the transition of completed projects between Development and Asset Management.
  • Continuously update accounting records and P2P processes for activities led by Development and Project Management while taking on a leading role in corporate finance and IT initiatives for Development Management.
  • Oversee the resolution of specific accounting and tax issues by providing technical guidance/advice as necessary.

Key Person Specifications

  • The successful candidate must be ACA/CIMA qualified with proven expertise in investment analysis.
  • Demonstrable interest in the real estate sector and previous experience in financial management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A detail-oriented approach and with strong financial modelling and IT skills.
  • You will hold a distinct advantage if you demonstrate background in a development or project focused role.
