The Company

Our Client is a well-known Private Equity firm with a global mandate in the middle-market growth companies.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires the person to be overall responsible for fund accounting and reporting of an established private equity and credit fund that invests in private equity and credit products across the Asia Pacific region. He/she will report to the CFO and Finance Director directly. In addition, he/she will work closely with the CIO to support the deal team on fund and investment related activities.

Fund and Corporate Accounting

Financial, Statutory and Management Reporting

  • Manage financial, statutory and management reporting for the funds and Singapore management company
  • Oversight of third party fund administration service providers including accounting, tax, performance measurement and corporate secretarial service providers
  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc performance analysis, calculations of key performance metrices, calculations of fees, carry interest and waterfall distributions
  • Manage the annual audit process with external auditors
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting for the entities and funds
  • Oversee compliance & regulatory requirements in Singapore
  • Assist with tax planning, structuring and compliance

Fund/Treasury Operations

  • Manage and coordinate with Ops Analyst and fund administrators to ensure smooth operations of the funds, including operation of bank accounts, accounts payable and payments processes
  • Monitor cash balance, manage cash needs of various entities within investment structure, and process and follow through on transactions related to capital calls, distributions, expenses, payrolls and inter-company transfers
  • Support and participate in ad hoc projects as the need arise

Candidate Requirements

  • Up to 10 years relevant work experience in a related business (private equity/hedge fund, other fund houses, or fund service provider) or large accounting firm
  • Accounting qualification with work experience in IFRS, US GAAP or both
  • Experience in credit and equity transactions will be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and communicate confidently in a global environment across offices
