Client Side Architect Part 3 - Technically focused

Cobalt have the pleasure of exclusively working with a leading, bespoke yet experienced property development firm based in London. With an extensive and expanding portfolio of property, this firm specialises in the conversion of commercial property into high end residential apartments with construction costs up to £40 million.

This close knit development team has expanded organically since their inception and due to an increased workload and new acquisitions, our client has asked us to source a talented technically focused Architect or Technologist.

The Role

The successful applicant will need to be able to hit the ground running and take responsibility for developing detailed drawings for planning applications and manage the process throughout pre-construction and design development. The role will involve aspects of project delivery and site management but the crux of the role will be to ensure details are developed to ensure budget, time and quality requirements are met as well as managing schemes from start to finish.

Our client requires someone with proven experience in traditional residential construction and solid understanding of building regulations in a similar role either within a development business, practice or house-builder. Strong technical ability is a must but a design flair is always welcomed. Being a client side role in a close knit team, they require an adaptable and collaborative work style as well as a drive to progress your career.

Remuneration:

£38,000 - £50,000 + Benefits + Bonus

(Dependant on experience)

Requirements:

  • Part 3 or HND qualified
  • CIAT qualified or ARB registered
  • Experience working for an Architectural Practice, Developer or House builder
  • Detailed knowledge of various forms of UK building contracts
  • Proven experience of producing high quality and technically proficient architectural drawings
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
