A diverse, family owned, specialist Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking to attract a dynamic Health & Safety Manager to their business.

You will be holistically responsible for a significant element of the Group and be fully empowered to drive change to the way they approach and manage safety, including behavioural safety strategy. The role will offer you the opportunity to fully assess their behavioural safety strategy, redesign if you deem appropriate and roll out a new engaging training programme that will deliver the right outcomes.

As a Divisional Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:
-Working with leadership team to improve the safety culture
-Develop and roll out safety strategy
-Ensure consistent implementation of standard
-Ensure projects are audited / risk reviewed at frequency and that accidents/incidents are investigated and lessons learnt are communicated
-Attend wider company safety forums to deliver a report on Health and Safety for the division
-Monitor performance and report
-Provide leadership to project based HSE teams
-Assist in work winning by advising and writing on Health and Safety submissions
-Identify learning and development requirements for yourself, your team and the wider workforce
-Coach staff at all levels in Health and Safety expectations and standards

The demonstrable qualities and qualifications our Client is seeking are:
-Clear communication skills
-Grad IOSH as a minimum and member of IEMA ideal
-NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
-Considerable Civil Engineering or Construction Sector experience with a track record of making positive contribution as a health and safety professional
-Proficient IT skills
-An instinct to anticipate change
-Effective and confident training delivery
