Position: Planning Engineer
Location: West London
Remuneration: 38,000 - 50,000 DOE plus additional benefits including pension, holiday, company car or allowance etc

An award-winning Main Contractor is seeking to attract a Planning Engineer to their organisation.

This newly created role has come from a result of several significant project wins and will afford the successful individual a solid pipeline of interesting, challenging and complex project in the west London area.

As a Planning Engineer you will;
-Plan and sequence permanent works, logistics and temporary works and engage the project teams
-Develop, control, monitor, analyse and report on schedule related aspects for designated projects or project
-Establish and monitor a cost and resource loaded baseline plan for the project
-Capture project costs and resources in the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget
-Establish robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures in terms of project scope
-Work with the Project team to establish the project activities, cost and duration
-Maintain and control project baselines in line with company procedures and guidance.

It is envisaged that to be successful as a Planning Engineer you will:
-Be educated in Civil Engineering to HND / Degree level (or equivalent)
-Hold demonstrable and robust site-based engineering experience gained working on large and complex civil engineering projects
-Have sound knowledge of construction methodologies and be able to produce short term programmes
-Ideally have experience in Primavera P6, although this is not essential as training will be provided
