Senior Estates Services Officer

A new opportunity has arisen at a well-known Housing Association based in South London.

You will assist in the delivery a first-class estate service through effective management of the caretaking, grounds maintenance, tree maintenance, refuse contractors, estate cleaning, playground inspections and other estates services contracts to ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with contract specifications.

Remuneration: £33,000 plus benefits (Depending on Experience)

Location: South West London

Job Role

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections as part of the independent monitoring regime for estates services.
  • Meet regularly with contractor representatives to progress the effectiveness of the monitoring regime.
  • Record and report on the performance of contractors.
  • Assist the Senior Management with setting up a Direct Labour Operative service (DLO).
  • Assist in the development of the Resident Involvement and Inspection Strategy.
  • Lead and administer resident inspection team.
  • Produce written correspondence for tenants, and assist in the production of correspondence and reports for managers, councillors, resident forums etc.
  • Investigate service complaints and write responses in line with corporate formats and timescales.
  • Attend and actively participate in one to ones, appraisals, team meetings and training.

Candidate Requirements

  • Good standard of education commensurate to the role with excellent written and oral communications skills to write detailed reports, letters and emails.
  • Excellent customer focus and a genuine desire to achieve excellence
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team to deliver objectives and targets.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to manage staff through change.
  • Management experience in Housing and Estate Management (within Social Housing desirable)
  • Proven track record in service improvement, managing and delivering change.
