Position: Senior Project Manager or Associate Project Manager - client-side
Day Rate: circa 400 - 500 per day (LTD)
We are seeking to attract an experienced Senior Project Manager or Associate with demonstrable experience in leading a large programme of design and construction works in the heavy civils and infrastructure sector.
You will be responsible for taking an element of this significant project through design, procurement and construction phases.
This will involve a significant amount of interfacing with client advisors, the design and construct supply chain and the wider programme management team.
You will be responsible for:
-Managing the procurement process, under an EPC form of contract
-Interfacing with DNO's, public agencies, utilities, local boroughs
- Identifying and communicating any professional team support required.
-Administering the construction contracts on behalf of the client
-Facilitating risk workshops and ensures actions are closed out
-Agreeing overall project programme in conjunction with client and in-house planners
-Ensuring that the design meets the client's requirements
-Managing the processes involved in estimating, budgeting, and controlling costs
-Managing the contract change control, in alignment with the programme wide change management process.
-Overseeing the progress of the Contractor and that they deliver to programme on time and to
- Preparing and managing the handover plan
-Managing and resolving all interfaces within and between packages required for successful delivery
-Authoring monthly client reports identifying key issues, matters for resolution and providing a clear and effective mechanism for exception reporting.
Due to the specific requirements of our client, you will need to possess the following experience and skills:
-In depth knowledge of procuring under EPC contract conditions
-Strong experience in the NEC form of contract
-Knowledge of working in the Energy generation sector
-Demonstrable understanding of CDM Regulations
-Knowledge of the DCO discharging processes for major infrastructure projects.
-Full project life cycle experience in managing large and complex process projects in energy or industrial sectors or similar
-Minimum of a degree (2:1 or 1) in either management or technical relevant subject (Mechanical / Civil)
-Professional qualification in Project and Programme management qualifications, such as MAPM, or equivalent.
-Knowledge of PMOs and Programme Support functions (Schedule, risk, cost, information management)
