Senior Quantity Surveyor

A new opportunity has become available for a Senior Quantity Surveyor at a respected Local Authority in West London. You will be flexible with your approach to work and be able to tackle a variety of projects.

Remuneration

£400 - £450 Per Day

Depending on Experience

Job Role

· Working on individual projects up to 1M and overall scheme up to 50M

· Preparing Bills of Quantities for contracts up to £3m and carried out all requisite quantity surveying services from start to finish - valuations costings/cost updates, measures & final account

· Scheduling and quantifying materials and labour.

· Negotiate and place orders for labour and sub-contractors, material suppliers on a competitive tender basis to ensure the business output is delivered on programme and within budget.

· Work alongside other departments to ensure project viability and improve cost effectiveness.

· Assist in the preparation of Site Budgets Detail a labour cost schedule including anticipated target hours.

· Have responsibility for processing all Contractor, subcontractor and consultant orders and payments, variation orders and day works.

· Report on savings and excesses against budget costs and process, prepare and present information for monthly Profit & Loss meetings.

· Forecast final accounts and prepare and present cost to complete reports.

Candidate Requirements

· BSc. Quantity Surveying.

· MRICS

· Experience of working on residential capital projects and programmes.

· Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health and Safety requirements.

· Strong analytical and commercial skills with attention to detail.

· Competency in the use of IT, including Excel.
