As a result of structured succession planning, a privately-owned Principal Contractor is seeking to attract a Site Agent to their organisation. Our Client is happy to consider a Sub Agent looking to take the step up.

This role will find you joining a project led business with little bureaucracy and red tape. The projects are very much in charge of their own destiny and delivery staff are fully empowered to make critical and strategic decisions.

They are a business that is very much planning for the future. There will be a lot of emphasis and focus on developing your management and leadership skills. You will be a future Project Manager for them and will play a vital part in their future growth plans. Being a smaller organisation means that your success will be recognised across the whole business, right up to Chairman.

You'll be working on Civil Engineering projects across the UK, and on occasion overseas, so you must be prepared to travel and lodge. Projects are typically valued at between £5m - £150m.

As a Site Agent, you'll be responsible for:
-Maximising the commercial performance of the project
-Ensuring that work is delivered to the necessary quality, safety and environmental standards
-Produce, review and implement construction project plans
-Produce procurement schedules
-Client interface
-Effective cost control and forecasting
-Oversee site diaries and record keeping
-Seek out value engineering opportunities
-Internal and external reporting, producing good quality, accurate monthly reports

What you'll need?
-An HNC / HND / Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
-Demonstrable experience in working on civil engineering and infrastructure projects
-Previous experience of leading and managing teams in Main Contractor organisations
-The right behaviours; you'll need to be self-motivated, hands on, tenacious, committed and team focused
-Flexibility; you must be willing to travel and stay away from home during the week
