Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Remuneration: 35,000 - 45,000 DOE with extremely attractive commission structure, company car or allowance, pension, private health care, 25 days' holiday
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join a dynamic and fast expanding specialist Contractor.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the sales process, identifying and developing new opportunities and presenting technical winning solutions that ultimately secure the project for the business. You will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of specific opportunities, from pipeline to handover to the operations team.
It is envisaged that to be successful in this role you will be;
-Well networked within their target client base, which is Tier 1 and Tier 2 Contractors
-Fully immersed in the civil engineering, infrastructure, ground engineering and geotechnical markets
-Focused on providing a solution to your Client's problems
-Familiar with the pre-contract processes, capabilities, technical requirements and client standards and specifications
-Experienced in selling geotechnical / ground engineering solutions

Responsibilities would include:
-Ongoing development and ensuring success with new and existing clients in the civil and infrastructure sectors
-Assist in the submission of bids, tenders and pre-qualification documents
-Create sales strategy that is aligned to the wider business growth
-Work closely with the Engineering and Operations Teams to identify opportunities to support clients and develop bid winning themes
-Liaise with clients to identify opportunities for technical support to their business and be fully conversant with the design capabilities, technical innovations, operational processes and procedures and where these add value
To be considered you will:
-Hold a relevant technical degree (or equivalent), either Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
-Have a proven track record in developing new business within their target markets
-Be prepared to travel nationally
-Be computer literate
-Be passionate about the industry and the solution that you are selling
-Be a self-starter and be effective in working autonomously with little direct day to day management
